How do I book?
You can book by ringing us on either number (both can deal with bookings anywhere) or, if you prefer you can drop us an email with any questions to enquiries@a5leisure.com.
What happens if it rains on the day of my hire?
Don't panic. We offer a no quibble cancellation policy, so if you decide you no longer wish to go ahead with your hire, just give us a ring and we can cancel it.
What happens once I have booked?
Once you have booked we will send you a confirmation with our Terms and Conditions of hire which you will be asked to sign on the day of the hire.
How long does the hire period last?
We deliver in the morning and collect in the evening. We deliver on a geographic round basis which helps to keep the cost down. Two day rentals can be arranged with a 30% discount for the second day. Late collections can sometimes be arranged but may be subject to an additional charge.
How far in advance do I need to book?
We try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to booking and will accept bookings even on the day of the hire if we have anything left! However, we do advise to book at least a week in advance to avoid disappointment, especially in busy periods.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
We do not ask for a deposit as we have a No Quibble Cancellation Policy. The full payment is required on delivery by cash. If you want to pay by cheque outside those terms it must be paid in advance in sufficient time for it to clear our bank.
When are your inflatables, garden games and party equipment available?
All of our equipment is available seven days a week, all year throughout, including bank holidays.
What is included in the advertised price?
In our standard delivery area we include delivery (on all rentals exceeding £50), erection, dismantling, collection, all required mats, stakes, up to 50 metre extension lead, RCD circuit breaker, ground sheet and as many fans as the unit needs. Provided you are in our free delivery area there are NO SNEAKY EXTRA CHARGES. What you see on this site is what you pay, even for last minute bookings.
Is delivery included?
Delivery is included within our standard delivery area on all orders exceeding £50. Delivery would be chargeable outside that area but we always aim to make it reasonable.
Where can a bouncy castle be used?
Each inflatable requires a clearance of 3 feet on each side and above. It must be on fairly flat ground (slight slopes are acceptable) with no sharp objects, dog mess or excessive mud and we must be able to hammer our stakes into the ground for safety purposes. We require a three pin socket within 50 metres of the fan, or we can hire you a petrol generator. Overhanging trees or prickly bushes must be pruned back. If our delivery staff have to wait while you prepare the site or clear the access, or if the site/access is unsuitable, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. Safety is of prime importance to us for all concerned. If you are unsure about your site give us a ring. We will arrange to inspect the site, with no obligation, for suitability prior to the event to avoid disappointment on the day.
Can I collect the items I am hiring from you?
Sorry but for insurance and safety reasons we must deliver and install the equipment.
How can I contact you and when?
You can email at any time (see the contacts page) or telephone either 01908 465765 or 01525 211765 any day between 9 am and 9 pm.
How much space do you need for access?
Inflatables are very heavy, we deliver them from one of our vans, on a sack barrow so we require a minimum width of 2 foot 9 inches for this of unobstructed access. We can cope with a reasonable amount of steps. If you think that there may be a problem give us a ring and if we cannot work it out on the phone we will come and have a no obligation look.
Do I need to keep the blower running?
Yes, the blower must be running constantly whilst the inflatable is in use. If there is a sudden change in weather and there are strong winds or other adverse conditions, clear any people from it and then switch off the blower and let the unit deflate.
How will we know how to safely use the equipment?
When we deliver the unit we will provide written safety and operating instructions which are based on current guidelines issued by the Health and Safety Executive. The use of common sense goes a long way towards safe play.
What is the insurance for?
The insurance policy we hold covers us for public liability. This covers accidents which were our fault, such as equipment failure or us failing to install equipment properly. The hirer is responsible for ensuring that there is adult supervision of people using it at all times. We will provide you with detailed safety and operating instructions, in writing, which are based on current guidelines issued by the Health and Safety Executive when we erect the equipment.
What do you mean by 'free delivery'?
There is no charge for delivery within our free delivery area providing the total hire charge is £50 or more.
Can I rent a bouncy castle for a commercial promotion?
We will supply our equipment for your corporate fun day at the rates shown on this website. In some circumstances we will rent our equipment for other business use. However the hire rates may not always be the same as those published in this website. We would be pleased to quote for commercial and promotional use.
Can the inflatables be used indoors as well as outdoors?
Yes, we do set up inflatables indoors at community halls, village halls and other suitable venues. The space required is the size of the inflatable plus 2 feet in each direction. We then use sandbags instead of stakes to secure the castle. Please ask us if you are not sure about a particular venue.
Can we move the inflatable?
No, for both insurance and safety reasons, once an inflatable has been delivered, installed and our staff have left, it must not be moved or re-positioned under any circumstances.
How much does it cost in electricity to run an inflatable?
It costs between 50 pence to a pound to run the average inflatable all day.
Is there an age limit for the inflatables?
All of our units are suitable for children up to 12 years old. Only those listed as Adult Castles are suitable for anybody older than 12 years old. Each does have a limit on the number of occupants at any time which must be adhered to. Common sense should always prevail.
It is England - It is summer 2008 - what about the weather?
Most of our inflatables have built in shower covers so, as soon as it stops raining they can be given a quick dry with a towel to prevent slipping and then bounce away. If the weather is very wet or windy and you don't want the inflatable that you booked, you can cancel by ringing us as early as possible without any financial penalty. We will not deliver and allow a hire to proceed if we consider, for safety reasons, that the weather is unsuitable due to high winds or heavy rain.
What do you do to make it as safe as possible?
Safety is our main concern. All of our inflatables are double stitched with webbed beds for extra strength. We provide a safety mat at the entrance/exit. All inflatables are made from materials which conform, for flame retardant requirements to British Standard BS5438/BS5308. We provide an RCD circuit breaker for each unit. All units are operated in accordance with HSE Information Sheet No 7. All units are checked after each rental for damage.
